A Different Type of Bliss

I know I write a lot about Jayden waking up next to me, but I can't help it. It really is one of the happiest moments of my day, the kind that makes me wish I can keep in a memory vial ala Harry Potter style, and relive it in the Pensieve whenever he makes me wanna tear my hair out.

Like this morning (you knew this was a prelude to more waking up stories right. Heh), I was just lying on my bed, waiting for the clock to turn 7:30 before I get ready for work. Jayden was sprawled next to me, his mouth slightly ajar. Heh have I ever mentioned how much I adore those long eyelashes resting on his supple cheeks? =P

I was kind of hoping that he'd wake up so I could have a few minutes with him before I head off to work, and maybe he heard my mind (or my ruffling the bed sheets) coz he started making his waking up hums (Nngghhhhh... nnggHhh...), and stirring from his sleep. His eyes flickered open, just in time to take in my full face, which was inches from his by now.

He smiled. *heart melts* I gave him a few kisses, and hugged him. "Good morning!" I whispered to him. He wrapped his arms around my neck. "Huugg." He said in reply.

He pulled away from me and rolled around a bit, rubbing his eyes with his chubby hands. He tried to get up on all fours a couple of times, but then fall back down as if his body was not ready to make use of any of his limbs and muscles at the moment. I grinned at him. He smiled lazily back me, his cheeks resting comfortably on the bed.

I grabbed him and hugged him tightly. "I got you!" He giggled, and motioned for me to do it again. I repeated the hugs, and asked for a kiss. Obligingly, he grabbed my face, puckered up and kiss me lightly on the lips. Twice. (he usually ignores me when I ask for kisses) Be still, my heart.

It was time to get up. "Wanna brush teeth?" I asked, walking to the bathroom. He followed after me and said, "Bwash Teetf."

People always write about how magical/blissful it is to wake up next to someone you love, but it's usually the romantic kind. Admittedly, I used to feel all giddy and lovey dovey waking up next to the Hubz too (and wrote quite a bit about that too, *geli* heh). I'm so glad that I get to experience a different type of bliss with our child now. I know the Hubz find Jayden irresistable too, when he's all sleeping and angelic (coz he ALWAYS has to kacau Jayden by stroking his forehead and going real close to whisper his name by his ear - to see if he'd react or not, of coz,=. Men. =P)
